Modesty

"There is nothing modest about talking about how modest you are" - Sophie Dupin

It's definitely a true and obvious statement Sophie made on the subway today.  Really, let's hold back our resumes and portfolios from each others faces for like two seconds, do your thing on your own time.

I'd appreciate a little less credential talk, how about you?  Maybe talking up others over ourselves for a change might be for the best.  I understand the excitement of new things and the pride of our own accomplishments. But I really believe that this pride really leads to this sense of entitlement.  We may earn our successes however we don't own them.

Speaking of focusing on others....last night was an interesting night at The National Underground, Sophie was the booker for the evening booking Brandon Sheer, Tina Parol, Reuben Chess and D-Money. I hung around in the back to do a semi kind of promotion thing for the bar and take some photos of people, and people like to have their picture taken especially after a few drinks. Nothing new just your regular party kind of photos but definitely ads to the night.
