It has been exactly 3 months since I have been back to Waretown. That may not seem like a lot for most, but considering it's a small bus trip away into New Jersey, it is a long time. The house I spent most of my growing up in is currently for sale. Not ideal, because I did grow to love it. When my mother got married in July 1999 we had moved in a few months prior. The house was taking a beating by the clashing of two minds. Tacky furniture, vertical blinds. But my mother one that battle and took over. After my stepfather Toms died of Cancer and my grandfather just a year after also died of cancer, it was a definite necessity to make this house more of a home, a place to be comfortable in. And it is, at this point my favorite place to go and relax. Always full bottles of coca cola, tostitos pizza rolls, packaged meatballs and sloppy joe and noodles and the best two dogs in the world. Maybe there will be enough change in the country in the next few months where it won't need to be sold, but we are not resting on that idea. However I am hopeful to make it home for thanksgiving.
