What was a great overcrowded scarce seated coffee nook on the corner of N6th and Bedford has now expanded to a spacious piece of cruddly a coffee destination.
Some places just do not know their strong points, the expansion now offers more of a view of their over iced cupcakes with strawberry slices (oh the excitement) as well as some ice cream concoction, the name of which i do not remember.
The best about New York Muffin pre-expansion was there slide sip cups, unlike starbucks and bodega paper cups of Joe that leave you open to a nasty 2nd degree burn as you slide down the stairs to catch the subway car of your choice, as well as putting that sweet old polish lady in danger of a burn to her frail skin. NYM took that danger away with the slide cover...genius!
Until now, I guess the owner of the NYM was trying to cut some dollars and subdued to low level of open sip lids, old polish ladies stay to the right on the stairways, and make sure you decide to wear your autumn colors to avoid a distasteful stain.
As for the coffee, well it was most likely the same, but I was too busy giving a look of disdain to this inferior piece of plastic crap.
